Sounds of Music has been apart of the community since 1991 and have played an important role supporting the development of local musical talent. Sounds of Music have been proud sponsors of many local events including school musicals, award nights, concert bands and is currently part of the Malcolm Sargent Cancer Fund for Children in Australia.We have been instrumental ({pardon the pun!) in fostering avenues for local bands and soloists to perform their original work.This is done via the organisation of co- certs to showcase local talent as well as regular gig nights at the Merino Tavern, which has witnessed the launch of many legendary local acts! Each year Sounds of Music participates in the work experience programs of our local High Schools offering many students the opportunity to get 'hands-on' experience in retail music environment.
